Whether you're celebrating a birthday or just enjoying a summer evening with friends, nothing brings people around the dessert table like a homemade pizookie. This simple recipe is a quick yet delicious dessert that pleases almost everyone.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a bowl, mix together the butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg. In a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Stir dry ingredients into the batter, mixing thoroughly. Add chocolate chips and walnuts, stirring to evenly distribute.
Spread the cookie dough into the bottom of your Lancaster cast iron skillet, keeping an even distribution across the pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving with ice cream and toppings of your choice.

Browned Butter Mushroom & Thyme Cream Pasta
A rich, silky pasta with browned butter, sautéed mushrooms, fresh thyme, garlic, and just enough lemon to brighten the sauce. The creamy béchamel-style sauce comes together entirely in the skillet, then the pasta is finished right in the pan so every strand of pappardelle is coated.
Vanilla Bean Skillet Creme Brulee
Classic crème brûlée gets a skillet treatment in this simple, elegant dessert. A silky vanilla custard is baked low and slow in individual No. 4 skillets, chilled until perfectly set, then finished with a thin layer of caramelized sugar for that signature crackly top.
